I'm talking about the wipes in our bathroom, that my family affectionately calls "potty wipes". You may use them, or you may be like my son, who finds them unnecessary. Either way, it's all a matter of personal preference!
If you do use them, you know that you can buy the nice little plastic holder that nicely opens up and then just buy the refills. In my house, that nice little plastic holder inevitably gets thrown away, and we're left with this:
Well, one day I woke up and decided I couldn't stand it anymore and came up with this:
So much better, right? Our bathroom walls have pink tiles on the bottom half and light cream paint on the top, so I opted to use an Oatmeal colored yarn. You can use whatever color yarn compliments your bathroom colors! The only yarn requirement is that it has to be #6 weight (super bulky) yarn. So let's get to the details!!

Skill Level: Beginner
Measurements: Base measures 8 1/4"L x 5"W x 2"H, which fits over the refill packs of bathroom wipes that measure 7"L x 5 1/4"W; (note that the cozy is stretchy) Gauge: 3 1/2 HDC rows in 2", 4 HDC ST in 2" Materials needed:
Abbreviations used:
Special Stitches: HDC2tog: YO, insert hook into the 1st ST, YO and pull up a loop (3 loops on the hook), YO, insert hook into the 2nd ST, YO and pull up a loop (5 loops on the hook), YO and pull through all stitches on the hook Notes: The base of the cozy is made using back and forth rows, then the rest is worked in rounds How to Make the Bathroom Wipes Cozy
The Pattern:
Row 1: CH 15, HDC into the 2nd CH from the hook and into each CH across, CH 1 and turn (14 HDC’s)
Row 2: HDC 1 into each ST across, CH 1 and turn (14 HDC’s)
Row 3 - 4: Repeat Row 2 Row 5: HDC 1 into each ST across (14 HDC’s), do not CH 1 and turn; instead, rotate your work counter-clockwise and HDC 1 into the end of each of the 5 rows
Then we’re going to rotate our work counter clockwise again and HDC 1 into each ST across our original chain row (14 HDC’s)
We’re going to rotate our work counter clockwise again and HDC 1 into the ends of each of the 5 rows, then join with a SL ST into the 1st HDC ST from Row 5
Note: This is where the pattern changes to rounds, because we’ll be working around the whole piece from this point. The stitch count for each round is now 38, two sides of 14 stitches (28) and 2 ends of 5 stitches (10). We’ll continue with ROUND 6..
Round 6: CH 1, HDC 1 into the BLO of each ST around, SL ST into the 1st HDC ST (38 HDC’s)
Round 7: CH 1, HDC 1 into each ST around, SL ST into the 1st HDC ST (38 HDC’s)
Round 8: Repeat Round 7
Round 9: CH 1, in BLO, HDC 1 in next 2 ST, HDC2tog, *HDC 1 in next 2 ST, HDC2tog*, repeat from * to * around, SL ST into 1st HDC ST (29 HDC’s)
Round 10: CH 1, in BLO, HDC 1 in next 2 ST, HDC2tog, *HDC 1 in next 2 ST, HDC2tog*, repeat from * to * around, SL ST into 1st HDC ST (22 HDC’s)

What a great idea! I can't believe this didn't occur to me. I have the plastic thing to put them in but my hubby doesn't like it - he says they're hard to get out. Thank You for an easy solution and a scrap buster!!!
